Bio

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Michelle North.  The 2017-18 school year will be my fourteenth year teaching at Alpha!  I taught nine years in second grade at Alpha Primary, before becoming the library media specialist. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Carson-Newman College and my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Math from Walden University.  I completed my Ed.S. in administration and supervision at Lincoln Memorial University in 2011.  In December 2014, I completed my endorsement in Educational Technology with a Concentration in Library Media at East Tennessee State University. Some past students may know me as "Miss Jinks".  I got married in the summer of 2007 to Joseph North.  We live in Morristown with our daughter and two dogs.  Most people call my library the "Smiley Room", because there are smiley faces everywhere!
