To wrap up a study of the Civil War, students in Christy Walker and Kristin Earls' classes at Alpha were joined by two special guest speakers, R. Jack Fishman and  Reece Sexton.  The pair spoke about causes of the Civil War and the turning points of the war.  They also gave students an overview of how Morristown was involved in the Civil War.  Students were allowed to examine replicas of weapons that were used in the Civil War era.  Each student received a copy of The Civil War Courier.  “This was a great way to bring history to life!” Walker said.
