Madeleine and Jacquelyn  completed requirements to become Newbery Scholars.  Newbery Scholars is a reading program sponsored by Alpha Intermediate Library.  Students must read 10 Newbery Medal winners or Newbery Honor books, attain a minimum of 80% on an Accelerated Reader test, and complete a set of questions and a project for each book.  In addition to the certificate, Newbery Scholars' names are engraved on a plaque displayed in Alpha Intermediate's Library.
